Volunteer with SaintlySingles

Volunteer Safety Training & Code of Conduct

Every host, safety moderator and technical producer shares the same responsibility: respect people’s privacy, act promptly on concerns and keep our gatherings welcoming.

Module 1

Participant Safety & Immediate Escalation

  • Zero tolerance for harassment, predatory behaviour or unwanted persistence.
  • Immediately remove disruptive attendees, or mute or close a breakout room if participant safety is compromised. Separate those involved and help the affected attendee move to a safer lobby or room.
  • Report the incident directly to Saintly Singles administration at support@saintlysingles.app. In immediate danger, contact emergency services first — 000 in Australia or 111 in New Zealand.
Module 2

Privacy, Confidentiality & Anti-Recording

  • Strict zero-recording policy: no screenshots, screen recordings or saved audio or video — even with verbal consent.
  • Private picks and connections are strictly confidential. Never disclose one-way selections or discuss who liked whom. Members see mutual connections directly in the app.
  • Respect participant anonymity. Never disclose off-platform contact details without explicit consent.
Module 3

Church Independence & Standing

  • Saintly Singles is an independent service, not owned, operated or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
  • Never interrogate participants about temple recommends, Church activity, callings, mission service or personal worthiness.
  • All legally single adults aged 18+ within the event’s age band are welcomed respectfully. Divorces must be final; people who are separated but not legally divorced may not join.
Module 4

Commercial & Solicitation Boundaries

  • Promoting multi-level marketing (MLM), business ventures or personal services during Saintly Singles gatherings is prohibited.
  • Address a business pitch with a clear room reminder and a private reminder to the attendee. Remove them if they persist.

Direct reporting to Saintly Singles administration: support@saintlysingles.app. These safeguards help reduce risk; they are not a guarantee of safety.

Putting care into practice

1. Harassment during a speed dating round

A participant alerts you that their breakout partner made inappropriate comments or made them feel unsafe. What is your immediate action?

2. Recording & Screenshots

3. Inquiring about someone’s private picks

A friendly attendee asks you after the event: ‘Did Sarah pick me back? I really felt a spark.’ How do you respond?

4. Commercial promotion or business pitches

An attendee starts pitching their essential oils business or financial consulting in the chat room. What do you do?

5. Church standing or personal worthiness

A participant begins questioning another attendee about why they don’t hold a temple recommend or haven’t served a mission. What do you do?
