Frequently asked questions
Everything people usually want to know before applying — who can join, how verification works, and how we keep SaintlySingles respectful and safe.

Who can join SaintlySingles?
Anyone aged 18 or over who is legally single, with any divorce final, and who agrees to live by our Community Standards. People who are separated but not legally divorced are not able to join.
Do I have to be a member of the Church?
No. SaintlySingles is designed and managed by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the standards of conduct of the faith shape how the community works, but anyone who agrees to respect and follow those standards is welcome.
How does membership verification work?
Every application is reviewed before an account is approved. We confirm that you are a real person and, where you claim it, that you are a member of the Church. You complete a private selfie check, and our review team manually compares your selfie with your profile photos to confirm they match. If you apply as a member of the Church, proof of Church membership is also required in the application form.
Why do you need my ID?
Verification is what makes the community different. Comparing selfies with profile photos stops fake profiles, catfishing and romance scams, and it is the reason you can be confident the person you are chatting with is real. Your verification selfie is handled separately from your profile — other members never see it — and selfie data is automatically deleted once verification is successful.
What counts as 'legally single'?
You must be legally single, and any divorce must be final. If you are separated but your divorce is not final, you are not yet eligible to join.
Who can see my photos and profile?
Only verified site members signed in to the app. Your profile is not indexed by search engines and is not visible to the general public. You can restrict your own search, or others searching for you, to include only members of the Church. The choice is yours.
What are online get-togethers?
Small-group conversations, virtual activities and social evenings you can join from home. They are a relaxed way to meet several people at once before ever going on a date. Hosts may remove anyone who disrupts an event.
Is it safe to meet someone in person?
We verify every member and moderate the community, but we cannot guarantee anyone's conduct, so please take normal precautions: meet in a public place, tell a friend or family member your plans, and never send money or gifts to someone you have not met.
How do I report someone?
Use the report option on any profile or message. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and we may warn, suspend or remove accounts that do not follow our standards.
Can I use SaintlySingles outside Australia and New Zealand?
The community is built for singles across Australia and New Zealand, so most members and events are in that part of the world. If you live elsewhere, you are welcome to apply and see whether the community suits you.
How much does it cost?
Please refer to the Pricing section on the main navigation bar for the latest pricing information.
When does the app become available?
SaintlySingles is not yet on the App Store or Google Play. The download buttons on this site will link to the stores as soon as the app is released.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, at any time from the app settings. Your profile and photos are removed, and we then delete the personal information we hold about you, except where records must be kept for legal or safety reasons.
